Downloadable Workshops

Click here for downloadable workshops designed to provide instructors with support in teaching concepts of writing and to provide students with a resource for self-directed improvement of their writing skills. You are free to use these workshops in your classes—or for any nonprofit group—at any time. Please review our Fair Use Policy before using the workshops.

Requesting a Writing Workshop

Writing Lab faculty and staff are available to consult with you about incorporating writing instruction into your classes. See our Instructor Consultation page for more information about this service. Writing Lab consultants may also be available to facilitate an interactive workshop for a class or group on the Purdue West Lafayette campus on a case-by-case basis. Please use the form below to make a workshop request, but be aware that a request may not result in a workshop. Instead, we may work with you to develop a program that better supports your students’ needs. Whether we offer a workshop or another program, we will collaborate with you to develop interactive, pedagogically-appropriate instruction that leads to long-term transference of writing skills.

Please make your request at least two weeks prior to the proposed workshop or consultation date.

In-class workshops will not be given unless the instructor is present.

No workshops will be facilitated the first two weeks or the last two weeks of the semester.

For more information, contact the Writing Lab at 765-494-3723.
