The Purdue Online Writing Lab is pleased to annouce the launch of our newest vidcast, "What the Writing Lab Can Do for You." This vidcast has been designed to offer potential visitors an inside glimpse at the writing tutorials that take place at the Writing Lab everyday. This video has been designed to help you know what to expect when you come to visit us for writing assistance.

Purdue OWL ESL/Second Language Writing Resources Update 3

The Purdue OWL is pleased to announce that the final batch of our revised ESL/Second Language Writing resources have gone live. The resource updated in this round are our ESL Students and Plagiarism.

This resource was originally developed by OWL Content Developer Stacy Nall.

The Purdue OWL staff would like to extend thanks to OWL Content Developer Ghada M. Gherwash for her efforts in revising these resources and in making them more appropriate to students of a wider range of proficiencies.


Purdue OWL Writing Letters of Recommendation for College-bound Students

Purdue OWL YouTube Channel: Vidcasts for Second Language Writers and Writing

The Purdue OWL staff is pleased to announce the launch of a new vidcast series on our OWL@Purdue YouTube page, the Second Language Writers and Writing playlist. The first three videos in this playlist take on issues of audience that are faced by second language writers. The audience vidcast series is comprised of an introduction and overview, tips on how to incorporate audience into your writing, and writing for audience in U.S. academic settings

We would like to thank developers Gracemarie Mike and Daniel Liddle for their contributions to this vidcast series. 


Purdue Writing Lab Summer Workshops

Purdue OWL Outage

On Sunday, April 28, 2013 at approximately 8:30am, Purdue OWL staff became aware of a back-end issue that severely limited Purdue OWL functionality. Purdue OWL staff partnered with Purdue University's IT department to correct the error. As of 6:30am on Monday, April 29, 2013, functionality has been restored.

We do sincerly apologize for any inconvenience that this technical issue may have caused you.

Many thanks to our technical coordinator, Caitlin Spronk, and to ITaP staff for working to bring the Purdue OWL back online.
