Contact the Writing Lab Workshop Coordinator
Do you want to plan an in-class workshop for your students or consult a writing specialist about enhancing writing instruction in your course? Contact the workshop & writing across the curriculum coordinator. If you are requesting a workshop and know the topic of the workshop, see the Writing Workshop Request Form.
The workshop coordinator organizes and staffs in-lab and in-class workshops. In-lab workshops deal with popular writing concerns, like documenting sources and writing resumes and cover letters. Writing Lab consultants may also be available to facilitate an interactive workshop for a class or group on the Purdue West Lafayette campus on a case-by-case basis. The workshop coordinator will evaluate all requests and work with you to decide on next steps that meet your students' needs.
Instructors may schedule Writing Lab tutors to come in and give an in-class workshop. The workshop coordinator will receive such requests and schedule a tutor for that specific workshop. Please contact the workshop coordinator if you would like to schedule an in-class workshop or if you have any other questions on this service.
Please note the following:
- Be sure to make your request at least two weeks prior to the proposed workshop or consultation date.
- In-class workshops will not be given unless the instructor is present.
- No workshops will be facilitated the first two weeks or the last two weeks of the semester.
Please note that we no longer accept questions about writing, citation, or grammar via e-mail. If you are affiliated with Purdue, you can get help by scheduling an appointment with a tutor.
