Opportunities for Purdue Undergraduate Students, 2009-2010

Undergraduate students in any major who are interested in working as consultants in the Writing Lab must apply to take one of two training courses before being considered for employment.  Our former tutors have found that their unique experience in the Writing Lab helped them develop strong interpersonal communication skills, acquire organization and agenda-building strategies, develop professional areas of interest, and set them apart from other job candidates in both business and education.

Students interested in tutoring students in first year composition courses (English 106 or 108) must take English 390A.  Students interested in tutoring business and professional writing documents must take English 390B.  We are now accepting applications for the Fall 2009 courses, and the deadline for applications has now been extended to Wednesday, April 8, 2009, 6:00 pm. See below for application materials and course information.

For more information about undergraduate tutoring positions, please see the information below or contact Tammy Conard-Salvo, Writing Lab Associate Director.
