Writing Lab Hosting 2009 ECWCA Conference

The Writing Lab is hosting the 2009 East Central Writing Centers Association (ECWCA) conference, titled “Writing Center Ecologies: Developing and Sustaining our Resources,” April 3-4.

Registration for the 2009 ECWCA conference is now available. For more information and instructions on how to register for the conference online, please visit https://owl.english.purdue.edu/ecwca/registration.php.

A number of informative and fun events are planned for the ECWCA conference. In addition to the presentation sessions on Friday, April 3, vendors will be exhibiting books and other teaching resources. A poster display is also planned to exhibit scholarly projects. In the Purdue Memorial Union, conference attendees will be able to walk a labyrinth; and Friday evening, the conference will host the keynote banquet and awards ceremony. After the banquet and awards ceremony, conference organizers have put together a game session where attendees will be able to build their own ice cream sundaes!

Saturday, April 4 continues the scholarly fun with more presentation sessions, vendor exhibits, and the poster display along with a continental breakfast. In the afternoon, attendees will be able participate in breakout sessions during lunch. We hope you will be able to attend the conference to share in these activities.

Important Reminders

The Purdue OWL would like to remind you that we are discontinuing the OWL Help Nest through the Purdue OWL News. However, the Writing Lab is developing an OWL Help Nest Wiki that will be available soon.

Also, please note that we will be shutting down the old OWL (the one with the white background) by the end of the spring semester. We hope you will be patient and let us know if we've missed an old resource you've used for years in our shift to the new OWL.
