Talking About Writing
Teaching writing is complex. Contributing to this complexity is the fact that we have so many different ways of talking about the same things. Moreover, teachers and students sometimes don't know what one another are talking about when we cover writing issues like how to write a "thesis" or how to write "transitions." What do we mean when we say "revision" or "edit?"
The PowerPoint presentation in the Media box above is designed to help develop a better understanding of these sometimes confusing terms and ideas.
