Recent Visitors to the Writing Lab and OWL

We get many visitors from academics and teachers interested in writing labs, online writing labs and our facilities. If you want to drop by, contact us-- we'll give you a tour of our lab and show you what makes our OWL work. With the new addition of our digital camera, we are now putting some pictures of our visitors on this site.

 

Cathy Pinaar, from the University of South Africa (UNISA) in Praetoria, South Africa, visited our Writing Lab on December 5, 2002. Thank you for coming all that way to visit with us!

Mary Ellis, from the NIE (National Institute of Education)
in Singapore, visited our Writing Lab in April 2002. She's originally from Alexandria, Indiana, and was one of the first electronic subscribers to the Writing Lab Newsletter.

Professor Lynn Stein, from The International Christian University in Japan, stopped by for a visit in between sessions at the Symposium on Second Language Writing to talk about starting a writing center at her institution. Thank you for stopping in, Prof. Stein.

Lori Salem and Jill Swavely, from Temple University Writing Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, visited our lab for two days to exchange information about writing center administration, tutor training, OWLs, online tutoring, and resources.
